About TEAS:

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is an entrance test used to evaluate the academic preparedness of students entering the Cardiorespiratory Sciences, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, LPN to RN Bridge, Practical Nursing, Radiation Therapy Technology, or Registered Nursing Program.

The TEAS consists of a total of 170 questions in four areas:

Math, Science, English, and Reading.

1) The Math section measures knowledge of whole numbers, metric conversion, fractions
and decimals, algebraic equations, percentages and ratio/proportions (45 questions).

2) The Science section covers science reasoning, science knowledge, biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, basic physical principles, and general science (30 questions).

3) The English section covers the topics of punctuation, grammar, sentence structure,
contextual words, and spelling (55 questions).

4) The Reading subtest covers paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension, and
inferences/conclusions (40 questions).
